Pinwheels for Peace

Thanks to our School’s Amazing Peace Team, we had a very successful school wide “Pinwheels for Peace” Ceremony to celebrate Ten Days of Peace and National Peace Day, on September 21st. We had a great turn out! Our art teacher, Mrs. Frith, made pinwheels with all of the students. The students stuck them in the ground and everyone gathered around our pinwheels and sang a song. It was a neat moment, having the whole school come together for this event. All ages united and gathered for one purpose, to promote PEACE.  Some of Mr. Allen’s students prepared a creative rendition to a song, with Anti-bullying lyrics. Mrs. Scanlan shared some words of wisdom about bullying and ways to be peaceful. The students had a lot of fun, and I think it really sunk in! Thank you to every one who helped make this possible! This was a perfect way to end our Ten Days of Peace! PEACE!

And remember… STOP... TIME OUT...CUT IT OUT...Let’s make this world a peaceful place!
